De l'album "San Francisco, Surrounded by reality" (Automne 2008)

Cette piste est entièrement constituée par des moments sonores, pris en field-recording sur le lieu-dit "Fisherman's Wharf" à San-Francisco (USA).
C'est un endroit très animé de la ville, situé sur la côte Nord, et très prisé par les touristes. On peut y entendre les cris enthousiastes des enfants, le grincement des pontons et le bruit permanent du vent. Au loin, au moment de la prise de son, passe une fanfare agrémentée de la clochette joyeuse d'un très typique cable-car. Le titre de l'album est tirée de l'expression "San Francisco is 49 square miles surrounded by reality" de Paul Kantner, fondateur du groupe de rock psychédélique "Jefferson Airplane".

This track is made up entirely of field-recording moments taken at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, USA.
It's a very lively area of the city, on the North coast, and very popular with tourists. You can hear the enthusiastic shouts of children, the creaking of docks and the constant noise of the wind. In the distance, at the time of recording, a brass band plays, accompanied by the cheerful bells of a typical cable car. The title of the album is taken from the phrase "San Francisco is 49 square miles surrounded by reality" by Paul Kantner, founder of the psychedelic rock band "Jefferson Airplane".
